Why Estate Planning

While in law school I worked part-time as a clerk in an estate planning practice.  I learned first-hand the importance of planning your estate for the future possibility of disability and the unfortunate certainty of death.  But I also noticed the value of a practitioner who not only counsels their clients’ legal needs, but also addresses their personal concerns and fears that go hand in hand with estate planning.

It is my belief that God blesses people in many different forms and ways and in so we owe it to Him to share those blessings and abilities with others.  For me, one way is to help guide individuals or couples through the seemingly overwhelming process of estate planning in a manner which is comprehensive, yet simple, understandable and affordable.

Proper estate planning allows an individual the immense power to speak for themselves now in the event they won’t be able to speak for themselves in the future.  In addition, thorough estate planning relieves your loved ones of the extra burden and stress that can accompany decision making when left without guidance to guess what you would want should you become incapacitated or should you die.  It is a topic no one enjoys thinking about, but one that should not be ignored.

Everyone should be proactive in planning their estate, not only so their wishes are known and met, but so that your family is not left guessing how to handle critical medical decisions or how to distribute your estate.  This can be a very intimidating process to tackle alone.  I understand that from my own personal life, and I have started this home-based practice to alleviate clients’ fears and concerns that naturally accompany estate planning.  Let me help guide you through the planning process and provide you with a comprehensive estate plan.  This may well be the best gift you can provide for your loved ones.

If you are reading this I have great news for you, it is NOT TOO LATE to develop and fully execute an estate plan to guide loved ones in the event of your death or disability.
